Safe Use Instructions

Pump Action Suction Pads

Warning! - The devices are for hand use only, do not use with hoists or other lifting gear.

1) Only use on smooth non-porous surfaces such as, glass, metal, plastic, marble etc. Porous materials such as wood, plaster/cement board cannot be gripped by any hand operated lifter.

2) Ensure the gripping face of the suction lifter is clean and free from contamination, such as grease, oil, water, glue, grit, adhesive tape or other matter. If the gripping face is wet it must be dried before use.

3) Ensure the surface to be lifted/gripped is clean and dry and free from contaminants as above.

4) Place the lifter cup down on the surface to be gripped, apply light downward force and begin pumping the piston in the handle. Pump until the piston will not move any further in.

5) The load may now be lifted or moved as required. Note! the gripping force is temporary therfore it is neccessary to pump the piston occasionally to maintain the gripping force. When the red line around the piston is visible this means the vacuum in the suction pad is low and more pumping is required. On good surfaces like glass, the suction will last longer than for rougher surfaces like metal sheet.

6) To release the grip, ensure the load being lifted is safely supported and then hold the release trigger at the opposite end of the piston. The grip will be released in a few seconds.
