The sea front refurbishment at Redcar required the lifting and placement of hundreds of stepped concrete revetments. Various sizes weighing up to 15000Kgs are handled using the engine powered vacuum lifter. Site safety dictates a dual-circuit vacuum system as stipulated by BS13155, providing an ultimate holding force of approx 75 tonnes. Diesel operation ensures the equipment can be operated without the need for battery replacement or charging in addition to powerful vacuum flows needed when handling concrete.

Tilting Plate Vacuum Beam
Alloy plate & slabs measuring 3000mm x 1500mm  x  100mm and weighing up to 1500kg can be lifted from either the horizontal or vertical plane. Turning the load is facilitated by a hydraulic cylinder operated by remote control pendant. High safety factors are required to turn such loads and this is achived using two of our heavy duty M106 plate vacuum lifting pads
